Five things right now

I've always struggled with the idea of how much to let people in on a public blog. Things like using my real name, sharing photographs, using the names and photos of friends, etc. I think that has always been a block to me having the type of blog I'd like to have.

I was talking to my fiancé during dinner today and decided that I will be as open as possible. So yes to name (Laurie), photo (well that was there anyways), and yes to those friends who give me permission. My lovely fiancé Jay gave me permission to use his name as long as I linked to his blog.

So I started this blog many months ago and haven't updated in forever (bad blogger). I'm a big list maker so obviously I made a list of things to blog about. These will either make you run away or keep reading.


5 things about my life right now

1. Weddings - I'm getting married in a little less than 5 months. Needless to say the planning for this event is taking up a lot of my time lately.

2. Gardening - Jay and I started a vegetable garden this year. God only knows what we'll get out of it but its pretty exciting.

3. Adventure - Soft adventure but that still counts. I love to get outside hiking, camping, travelling  and experiencing new things. Not all adventures are far off adventures as Newfoundland and Labrador offers loads of them.

4.  Food - Jay loves to cook (and we both like to eat!). Its complicated by his diabetes and my hypoglycemia but we still eat pretty well I like to think.

5.  Cats - I have 2 cats ( all black Edie and white/orange Diego) and Jay has 1 (while/black Casper). I'm going to talk about cats and that's ok.
